SO THAT ACTUALLY JUST HAPPENED…

I’ve been putting off writing this post because while I’m still trying to wrap my head around what the actual fuck just happened, I really don’t want to accept the fact that it’s over… but all good things come to an end so let’s just get on with it.

I’m honestly not even sure what to write for this one because it’s not really a travel update or a review or announcement. I don’t know what this is. It’s just me trying to gather my thoughts I guess? The last week has been absolutely mental! Since achieving one of the biggest goals I’ve ever set for myself, I’ve kinda just been sitting in my room drowning in notifications and trying to figure out where to go from here. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen this post going around all over the internet…

A year ago, I left my old, miserable life behind. I graduated from university, quit my job of 7 years and said a huge…

I honestly had no idea it would blow up the way it did but not even 30 minutes after posting it, it already had hundreds of shares all over the world! I woke up to my favourite DJ’s sharing it on their Instagram stories and even some of the biggest media outlets posting my photos and writing articles about me! Absolutely insane! All of my socials have been blowing up by thousands and I’ve been receiving the most incredible support and feedback from everyone. So obviously before I continue, I have to give a huge shoutout/thank you to every single person that has supported me on this journey, whether you’ve been there from the start or only just found out once it was over. Thank you.

The first thing everyone has been asking me is how do I feel now that I’ve completed The Year Of Summer. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t know. Right now, it feels like I just woke up from a really long dream, and am just going about with my normal life. It’s weird. It doesn’t feel like any of this year actually happened and if I didn’t have the wristbands to prove it, I might not even believe it myself! The second thing everyone asks me is, how did I afford it? And while that’s not really anyone’s business, I will be addressing it and explaining everything in a post very soon.

I’m not sure what else I should add into this post. I’ll definitely talk about my favourite experiences more in depth eventually but right now, I’m still trying to process everything that has happened. It’s so crazy knowing that I’ve experienced more in a single year than most people will in their whole lives and I’m beyond grateful for that. That’s all from me for now but I’ll be posting a collective FAQ about the entire year since I’ve been flooded with the same messages over and over again asking the same questions so if you have any questions, please send them my way on my latest instagram post. ✌🏻
